Uno, dos, tres amigos!

Things are looking up I have located my friends, welcome along for the ride Sarah and Lindsey, I have located my bag but I have lost my camera….or I thought I had but they have found it at the last hotel I was now to get that back! So my luck had kind of turned
I am currently in my amigos room watching them pack. We have to decant our bags to a smaller bag that can only weigh 7kg and that includes sleeping bag and mattress- which weigh 3kg.
I think anyone would chuckle at some of the comments being said here are a few for your amusement
‘Socks how many pairs of socks should I take- should I wear my cool socks tomorrow? You can never have enough pairs of socks!’
‘Penknife should I take my penknife?’
‘Are you taking your whole wash bag…what about a towel’
'I'm taking all of shoes with me'
This can probably be forgiveable because as Sarah said earlier ‘My oxygen is deprived of brain!’ You can guess who is saying most of the comedy comments

After a day in Lima which was spent mainly phoning up about my bag and sleeping after arriving at 3am, I perhaps didn’t make the best of it. However, I do get another opportunity after this trip to Machu Picchu and the Amazon. Sarah and Lindsey arrived in the evening and we had dinner traded recent travelling stories and then today we got on the plane to Cuzco.

We have 3 other travelling buddies (one we have not met yet) and a father (Harry) and his very camp son (Bryan) who works for Gap dressing babies kind of. They are absolutely lovely people and we cruised around Cuzco today with them
When I say cruised I would say it was a very very slow walk as Cuzco is up at 3300 M and the air is notably thinner and you can feel your heart beating more and yourself breathing faster.
I have already acquired a suitably bright coloured garment made from alpaca wool and the ladies ate alpaca for lunch today. So we are getting into the Peruvian spirit
Cuzco is a stunning location that building are amazing and it is surprisingly big with some no go zones! Apparently  500,000 people live up here. The streets have the same shops on a street, so a street of telephone shops, mattress, pharmacy, opticians
It is unlikely that I will blog until the return from Machu Picchu, I know some of you will struggle without my beautiful daily words to get you through your days back home, but I will return with more stories to tell and then I may well pass over the honour to one of my amigos. Take care all xx
