She loves me....she loves me not
The nut returns.....apprehensive about how she's been and how she'll be. I turned up with sausages
What did she think of her hotel stay? What does she think of being back with me......
Today we headed out in hunt of waterfalls and a walk described by many as easy definitely what was required. I felt surprisingly bouncy when we set off on a round trip of 1hr 45....to Hareshaw Linn waterfall.
However any miniscule of incline and i was going zero speed or just wanting to stop....and the route was predominantly up hill.....in order for the water to fall down!
Anyway, it is a stunning walk from open grassland with sheep to an other world of up down mainly up with plenty of mini waterfalls along the way. One of which I really hoped was the waterfall. But on I pressed.
I wasn't disappointed, accept in myself for not bringing my swimmers but making it there was achievement in itself and i think we saw one other person on pur way and two people at the waterfall. They wandered off and we got to enjoy it to ourselves
We wandered back as the day was heating up and people were gathering the same ideas and heading out.....I would say 60% of the people had dogs as well.
Time to refuel and tea on the train was calling, back in Bellingham. A place equally steeped in history for where the first lumberjills were. As with a lot of jobs in the war that were then taken over by women this included logging and planting and managing our forests. It never fails to amaze me that no matter how far you go across the UK or how small a place you will a memorial to those lost in the war. When you pause and think for a.moment at size of the population in a tiny village back then the relative loss is/was huge. We must remember in these tumultuous times.
Tea on the train at an old station on the Penine Cycle way was very busy and clearly quite a popular spot. While the nut wasnt allowed in we enjoyed the platform and hands down the best brownie I have ever had, better than the vegan (i know!) Ones at Lemon and jinja and the Flying boat ones in hamble that I am sure are just made of butter. This one was firm but some how goey in the middle, accompanied with an Earl Grey tea.
It was then a mooch home for a nana nap and sorr out of yeaterdaya stuff!
Camping is a constant stream of time loss in my world as wverything takes long feom cooking to washing up to just walking to the toilet!
Not why we're upside downAfter a recharge of sleep we took on the minataur maze on our evening walk what could possibly go wrong releasing your dog in a maze!
