Golden toilet ......

Up and at them to get to the ferry port firstt in the queue at Andennes. After being told by our camper rental place that this ferry can be quite busy we thought  we would get there an 1.5 hrs before so we made the cut

When we arrived 3 of the 4 lanes were full so we wiggled into the 4th and merrily cooked breakfast.

When the ferry arrived and the vehicles piled off we were all set to get on only to discover that this ferry wasnt going to be fitting anyone in from our lane......a 4 hour wait lay ahead.

So we wandered into the town of Andennes and to see the lighthouse.....cant beat a good lighthouse. Built in 1858 of steel and manned until the 1970s it is now out of use. The town is like a ghost town......it is like the place has been deserted including tractors and street games.

To be fair the street games are part of a redevelooment of the area that js teying to be done and as we wandered down the 2 maybe 3 streets towards a cafe and then a bookshop for stamps

Stamped up coffee'd up but clearly still feeling rough we went back to the van and i lay down wimpering can i stay here when we moved on to the ferry.

Birds had taken nest on this house probably just because  they look different these arguably sea gulls seem less annoying than ours......they are smaller and have more pointy wings but still squark and poop everywhere

A rough old crossing with coffees flying everywhere and one passenger failing to make the toilet......we arrived to Senja and an approach into the Fjord that was simply breath taking. Everywhere you go you think Wow its not possible to more woweeed up and then there it is

Next up we wiggled, stopped to take pictures wiggled, took pictures went through tunnels saw a motor homer in a ditch, thanking our lucky stars it's not us!!! and got to Ersfjord and the golden toilet and my wish for 20C and a swim came true. It was bonkers warm ahead of the approaching front and a fohn wind.

We then pottered back to Steinfjord as the place was a little smaller and we could walk to the Fat Cod for dinner. Fish and chips here we come......it may have ruined fish and chips elsewhere in the world.

The Fat Cod perched out on a pontoon into the Fjord  and as we waited for a heavy shower to pass bwfore our stroll home the place filled up with 30-40 men all here to go fishing.

They had several fishing boats outside all equipped with powerful engines at the back and littlw electric ones at the front.

We pottered back with a few spots of rain to admire our bed time location.

The views never disappoint
