Ambling and absorbing

With the power of 3 the faffing and forgetting  time is also somewhat trebled....After scrambled eggs and marmite on toast....yes I brought marmite with us. The cats herded themselves out the door for a coffee still thoroughly confused about what clothing should be worn, as while it isnt the wamest outside they do seem to like to keep the inside at short and tshirt temperatures!!!

The appartment upgrade....is an upgrade as its nearer the town centre which is only about 15mins in any direction. If a little cosier, bed sharing required but not all 3 and given we'll be inside a tin can for the rest of the holiday, we are easing ourselves in gently.

Sightseeing abound after Fi required a change of clothes having decided to wear her coffee rather than drink it!

First up we tested the flat bridge we will be running on tomorrow eeeekkkkk and head over to the Arctic Cathedral. Questioning whether is was steeper on the way there or on the back......is in steeper than the Itchen bridge.....one thing is for sure it isnt flat

Frustration at lack of freely available town information/history and a map, we found the tourist office and asked what sites we should take in and what the main industry of tromso is now. The answer of which was the hospital.....this I found odd and so I caved to power of Wikipedia  and Google.

Next up we had to pick up our race numbers for this silly little run we are doing and got caught up in some frenzied merchandise buying!

Now armed with a paper map and the knowledge I had gleamed from the internet, my fellow travellers were less enamoured about the troll knowledge but humoured me on answering the fun facts about Trolls but a visit to the museum may yet be a step too far! We then toddled off to a 7 Eleven, yes we are that cultured and yes they have 2 here about 300M apart from each other. We had a snack then went to the coop (its either there or the joker so far) for chef lindsey to whip up a pasta dish before our late night concert as we try to adjust to stay awake and lively for an organised stroll with 6000 people tomorrow

We had enough time to check out the oldest pub in tromso called Olehallen that had 72 two beers on tap

I chose the Almond Cake and had a small glass of this 12% ale that almost felt like i had to chew and then melted and warmed me considerably,  probably should've gone with the safer bets of   Spitzbergen Pils and Pale Runners pils

It felt like a proper pub with board games and stuffed polar bears and seals kicking around.

We finished off the evening at the other Cathedral, getting all our religious vibes done in one day, for the concert with a soprano, pianist/organist and a saxophonist.

The acoustics were incredible and out we stepped into the daylight yawning but awake wondering what time is it?
