Why I shouldn't travel alone
Firstly I apologise for the poor English and bad spelling in my blogs- but I am afraid those picky ones amongst you will have to grin and bear it!
Today was a prime example of why I probably shouldn't travel alone.....offroad mountain biking in the midday heat of Bali....is that what you call a holiday- I now can't walk and I am off trekking tomorrow at 2am????!!! Must think more about relaxing.
The cycling to be fair was pretty good- the first part was spent with me going 'holy *****' I am not going to make this and generally gripping on for dear life and really not appreciating the scenery - but once I had sweated my body weight out in water and had a word with myself I got the opportunity to take a few photos and appreciate it all a little more
Post tour we had probably the best food I have had since being out- chicken satay my favourite, some really good fish, but it was the crispy soya beans that were amazing that and this ridiculously spicy stuff that properly blew your head off.
Once back from the cycling I hobbled around town and realised as I was hobbling along that I have been on holiday 6 days and I still haven't had an ice cream - have now- still can't eat ice cream and have now put my clothes in for washing.
This brings me to another story that normally I would probably be slightly embarrassed about but hey.
So took my washing to the laundrette and they present with a list to tick off. I obviously have no idea what is n the bag. So the guy goes no problem 'I do, I do' and proceeds to empty my dirty washing onto the floor in the middle of the laundrette and start making little piles of dirty pants, bras, t-shirts, shorts....classic! Nothing nicer than a stranger sorting your dirty laundry in public!
